The Lord is awe-inspiring, fearsome, fascinating, intriguing, and majestic in his radiant splendor: breathtaking! Here is what I saw of him today and what came to my heart and mind in Proverbs 6:1-5,
Anything of the Lord capture your heart from Scripture today? Share what moved you about him from your Bible reading today. I'd love to hear from you!

"My son, if you have put up security for your neighbor,
if you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger,
you have been trapped by what you said,
ensnared by the words of your mouth.
So do this, my son, to free yourself,
since you have fallen into your neighbor's hands:
Go—to the point of exhaustion—
and give your neighbor no rest!
Allow no sleep to your eyes,
no slumber to your eyelids.
Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter,
like a bird from the snare of the fowler."
Here is something of great practical value to me (as all of Proverbs is!)
The straightforward point these verses make is that when we screw up, when we have done something foolish, something in an impetuous or impulsive way that doesn't turn out how we wanted, we need to be tenacious and pertinacious, dogged, insistent and persistent in resolving it.
Just blowing it off or putting off dealing with it only adds to the pile in our lives we wish we didn't have.
I love the way the Scripture says: get it fixed and now! Git 'er done!
