The Lord is awe-inspiring, fearsome, fascinating, intriguing, and majestic in his radiant splendor: breathtaking! Here is what I saw of him today and what came to my heart and mind in 2 Corinthians 12:9,
"'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."
"He is not weak in dealing with you, but is powerful among you." 2 Corinthians 13:3b
The power of our Lord Jesus Christ is something beyond my ability to conceive.
We know that all things were created by and through him and that he sustains all things. The power of his gospel message changes lives and has become the defining instrument of change in the world bringing light and life since it first rang out.
Jesus' ability to create and then re-create in the resurrection brings the greatest hope in life. And as far as any adversary… as Martin Luther penned, "One little word shall fell him"!
That he is powerful among us is a transforming thought for me!
