The Lord is awe-inspiring, fearsome, fascinating, intriguing, and majestic in his radiant splendor: breathtaking! Here is what I saw of him today and what came to my heart and mind in 12:9a,

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
As Paul considered his own weaknesses, the Lord told him his power was best demonstrated through them.
God's grace often displays best in those who are weakest among us.
If I may use a sports metaphor, a coach who takes an already excellent team through a winning season to the playoffs is seen not nearly as great as a coach who takes a mediocre team through the season to the playoffs. The worse the team, the better the coach who makes them champions! I realize this is a poor illustration at best but it does convey my thought about what the Lord said to Paul.
To think that the weakest of us have the greatest opportunity to place the Lord's grace on display is an amazing thought.
The Lord includes us all in his purposes, especially those of us who struggle with faults and blemishes. He has given all of us purpose, meaning and assignment in his family – even those of us who are weakest!
