Worship for Today: Jesus Christ is our advocate before our heavenly Father!

The Lord is awe-inspiring, fascinating, intriguing, majestic, and full of splendor: breathtaking! Here is what I saw of him in Psalm 110:4,

The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.’”

The writer of Hebrews ascribes this passage to Jesus Christ. In Hebrews 6:19-20 we read, We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek. Here the writer of Hebrews tells us Jesus Christ entered the inner sanctuary behind the curtain on our behalf!

Paul tells us in Romans 8:34, Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. A priest is one who represents people to God. As a priest forever Jesus Christ will be eternally before our Creator God as our advocate!

Fascinating to think of, isnt it?!

Anything of the Lord capture your heart from Scripture today? Share your theme of worship with us from your Bible reading today. We’d love to hear from you!
