The Lord is awe-inspiring, fearsome, fascinating, intriguing, and majestic in his radiant splendor: breathtaking! Here is what I saw of him today and what came to my heart and mind in 1 Corinthians 8:6,

"For us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live."
Our relationship with Jesus Christ is intimate and life sustaining. It is through him we have life. It is through him we have a hope, a future. It is through him we have our sins forgiven and it is through him we have a right relationship with our Heavenly Father.
As the writer of Hebrews puts it, "in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word", Hebrews 1:2-3. Jesus Christ sustains us! He keeps life intact! He keeps both the celestial orbs spinning and our hearts beating! Each new breath we breathe, each beat of our hearts is a reflection of the work of Jesus Christ's sustaining power!!
And he loves us! "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?... I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord", Romans 8:35-39. How wonderful is that?!
